seeing emotion

My mother in law forwarded this link to me. Not that anyone needs another reason to love "Mad Men" but I thought it was worth sharing.

For filmmakers, storytellers and movie lovers it's a simple reminder of the results when the time, care and thought are put into a narrative. In the case with "Mad Men", they discovered the pitch perfect visual language to accompany an already captivating story. Photographically, it pays homage to the era while connecting the viewer emotionally to the character.

While we fight the fight everyday it's easy to lose focus on the creation. We get consumed by the politics and the compromises. It's hard not to get beaten down. Ultimately it's our job to make whatever exists on paper better. Even when it's all there, we still must strive to capture the subtle details that enhance the story on every level. This is what "Mad Men" does every week and the reason it stands out in an increasingly cluttered culture.

Maybe I'm a geek but I found this clip inspiring.
